Johnnycake Flats Rag Dolls are handmade, one at a time, no two alike, named for a childhood friend or special person. Each doll is clothed with a pretty dress, coordinating bloomers and either a necklace or brooch. Facial features are hand embroidered, hair is hand-tied using strips of fabric and buttons. Dolls are soft and lovable by children and adults alike. Rag dolls are one of the oldest children’s toys in existence, providing comfort along with the opportunity to learn nurturing skills. Johnnycake Flats Rag Dolls are handmade, one at a time at our farmhouse. Each is special, no two alike, named after a childhood friend or favorite person.  Each doll is clothed with a pretty dress, coordinating bloomers and either a necklace or brooch.  The unique hair is made with 50-60 strips of fabric, individually hand-tied onto its own button.  Facial features are hand embroidered, making them soft and lovable for children and adults alike!
